The Armenian soprano Ruzan Mantashyan began her studies in piano at the tender age of seven. At the age of 14, she received her diploma and immediately began her studies in voice at the Conservatory of Yerevan. At 17, she made her concert debut with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. She obtained her Bachelor of Music studying with Valery Harutyunov. In 2010 she began her studies at the CUBEC Academy with Mirella Freni. In the past 4 years, she has participated in various concerts throughout Armenia and Italy in the Theaters of Bari, Modena, Cesena and Mirandola. In September 2011 she sang a concert in honor of the great tenor Luciano Pavarotti in Piazza Grande in Modena under the baton of Maestro Aldo Sisillo. The following month, with Maestro Boris Schaefer, she sang a concert with the Mozart Academy Orchestra in Bologna. In 2011 she was a finalist in the Francisco Vinas International Singing Contest in Barcelona, winning a special prize.
